GOT IT DONE!!
Did some research and...if by any chance you get your device unplugged during the upgrade process, and later you see that it never came up again?. Do this:
(Close DM if you have it open)
- Plug the device in the PC
- Open AppLoder wich is in: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
- Follow the instructions selectin only the default
- Wait 'till the device is fully turned on (this could take a long while...so be patience)
At the end of the process you'll have a fully reseted handheld. Then you can open DM and load the aditional apps for your phone with the apploader link. After that, you're ready to go with the upgrade.
Worked for me like this on a Curve 8300 as i was trying to make an upgrade into 4.5
