Once you download the new OS to your computer do this:
1. Download and install the latest version of Desktop Manager (If there is one)
2. Install the new handheld OS you downloaded on your computer.
3. Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader (this step is necessary every time an OS is installed from a different carrier other than what is branded on your BB.)
4. Plug in BB and open Desktop Manager. You should be prompted to upgrade.
PS: Just in case, back up your data so you dont loose anything. |
