Default streaming radio--best app

Have u guys downloaded the iheartradio app yet? I just did the other day and I love it. My favorite section is definitely the new discover and uncover. The new artists r so good! If u don’t have it u should definitely check it out. It’s on iheartradio.com keyword ‘new’. It should be really easy to get to. For u guys who have it already, what’s ur favorite channel? For everyone else, do you use a different app?

I just download it and tried it out, at first it wouldn't configure, kept saying there was a prob with configuring, then when I finally got it to configure it kept freezing when I'd try to find a city, and b4 u ask yes I did a battery pull rite after I installed it, so sorry but I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone but that my own personal opinion.

I use flycast radio. Its an awesome radio app and media player. You can listen to flycast's pre-set stations, or add your favorite shoutcast stations, plus it can play music from your memory card in your phone. Its a free app, but if u buy the upgrade, you'll get the option of recording audio too so that you can replay what you were listening to. I've also used Moodio as well which streams from your browser. With Moodio you can also add your favorite shoutcast stations, or listen to other stations moodio offers.

Slacker Radio is the best, hands down. Full Streaming capability, artist discovery, song discovery, pc/handheld integration, customizable stations, and the best part of all that none of the others have, STATION CACHE! Save stations on your media card. I listen to the online version daily at work and update my stations by just plugging my blackberry into the computer and running the sync program. Most don't like the limit of 6 skips. Get by this by simply caching 2 stations with the same content and switch stations rather than skipping. It's flawless and the quality is great. Oh, and of course all of this is free!

Can't really agree with it being flawless. I've tried 2 different versions and have had issues with both. The most annoying issue is it "crashing" my phone. Every now and then my bberry does a hard reset when running the program. Plus I'll get a hiccup in a song every once in a while. Hiccup being like a needle skipping on a vinyl record. I've since been using Pandora and have been very pleased.

I did have these problems with my Curve when I used the older OS. Now that I've updated to 4.5 or 4.6 on the curve, there are no problems. I guess I should have said it works flawlessly on the Bold. I've never had any problems with the app on the Bold. It does seem to slow down and glitch just a bit on Curve, Pearl, etc but the Bold and Storm have worked perfectly in my experience. As for Pandora, it's virtually the same quality program as Slacker but the cached stations just puts Slacker a cut above in my book.

I hear ya. Hard to argue the cached stations. I had issues badly with the 8310 I had before. Had an older OS (4.2 I think). I have 4.5 on my 8330 currently and still have issues granted they are not nearly as bad as before. The cached stations are not that important to me. If I want tunes but don't have signal, I have a loaded 8 GB card with tunes. And with the internet radio I get everything I need from Pandora for much less device memory space and NO audio comercials. It just comes down to a matter of preference.
