Hi , i have an 8310 from rogers...and i've been having trouble downloading themes to my blackberry. Is my issue due to the fact that my curve is locked?? Thanks for the help.
The fact that your phone is locked has nothing to do with installing a theme...if your phone is locked, then that means that you can only use the sim card with the carrier that you have only..meaning u cant switch carriers...
How exactly are you trying to install the theme? If u want to install the theme over the air then you need to have a data plan (internet) on ur phone...if u dont then you are forced to download it through the zip method
Without knowing your exact setup or the nature of the problem you are having, I am going to throw out a couple possible causes of your troubles.
1. You do not have the Plazmic reader installed on your BlackBerry. Most of the themes that you will come across are designed using the Plazmic theme creator. You will need to have this software before the plazmic themes will work on your BlackBerry.
2. You are downloading themes that are not compatible with your device. Make sure that you are downloading themes designed for 83XX BlackBerry.
The fact that the phone is locked or unlocked has nothing to do with installing themes...that just lets you use a different carrier's SIM card on your phone...
Please give us more information as to what you did and what isn not working
