Default Pop ups not showing

All of a sudden I noticed the pop ups for Calendar, Jivetalk and Pocket Day lists were not showing on my 7100i. I was still getting the tone but not the pop up. I contact my carrier (Nextel), RIM and the developer for Jivetalk and nobody had any clues. I landed up wiping my BB and reloading the OS and it was fine. (I tested the pop ups after reloading each after market application)

Early this morning I saw the Pillar theme here and loaded it on my BB and all of a sudden all the pop ups stopped working again. Again I wiped the BB and reloaded the the OS and all my after market applications but did not reload the Pillar theme and I was fine. Note - I am and have been running the Pro Art theme with no problem

This leads me to believe that some themes are causing problems with the OS. I do remember a while back that some custom themes where causing a JVM error when you rolled your cursor over some icons.

Thats interesting....

I recommend doing a battery pull after installing themes...that tends to help the theme installation process. Also, make sure u have the latest OS on ur BB, im not too familiar with the BB 7100 series :o

Been there, done that. Have the latest OS available from RIM. It has to be something in the themes as I had no problem before I installed the Pillar theme. After the wipe and reload I've had no problem. It has to be selected custom themes tho because like I said, I'm running Pro Art with no problem.
