Cool Internet

Does anyone know how to use the internet on a 7100g without the blackberry package. Reason I am asking is that I gave my son my old 7100g, he has an unlimited data package, but it says "data connection refuse". Now I have called IT on this issue and they say you cannot access the internet without a blackberry package, but I know this to be untrue. When I first got that blackberry I did not have the blackbery package, just unlimited data plan and I was able to access wap sites and so on... any ideas?

When you transfered the plan over to him did you do another setup for the phone? That might fix the problem, sounds like the service books have not been updated.

Check and make sure your TCP settings are set correctly.

Go to options/advanced options/TCP

Now Im using tmo so for cingular tcp settings are diff and Im not sure what they are. Call tmo and ask what they are, then apply em and see if that helps

Or try resending service books as well go to options/advanced options/host routing table/hit menu and choose "register now"
