Os 4.2 Is Out For The 7130g/c (GSM only)

since i now use a 7130c im happy to say 4.2 is finaly out

I have managed to easily install OS 4.2 for the 7130!

Here is how to do it...
1.) Go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

2.) Download the OS 4.2.1 update "7130gM_PBr4.2.1_rel140_PL2.3.0.75_A4.2.1.91_B hart i" under the 7130g section
-(i think that this update will work with all 7130 (GSM) phones (i have a 7130c)).

3.) Install the file, but don't connect phone just yet, or nothing will happen

4.) Under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader; delete or rename the Vendor.xml file (i renamed mine to Vendor.old)

5.) Now when you plug in your phone with the Desktop Software running you should get a window telling you that there is an update available for your phone, so follow the steps and ta-da, the long awaited OS4.2 for the 7100 series is yours!

I am working on unlocking other themes, so if i can get the blackberry.alx file to work, i will post it for this new version of the software.

***Note: This update is not for the 7130e. This is for GSM devices only, not CDMA.

i also editied the blackberry.alx file and got all the vendor themes

This is confirmed that it works great. I just installed it to my 7130C. works great.

Im not sure if its ok if your with diff carrier, Idle0095 knows more about this so you might want to pm him.
