Default Bell Blackberry 8703e - Problems with Desktop Manager

I try the desktop manager (all version available on the Blackberry website), and everything works exept the media manager.

I am unable to see the device with the Mediamanager, and so, unable to load any new sound or picture on it.

I try on my desktop who have vista, and on my Laptop who have XP.
I try the multilingual version, and the English version only.

I can backup, synch,.. everything exept having new sound.

The only thing i want to do is : add mp3 sound for use as a polyphonique ringtone, and if possible, add new picture to change the actual background picture.

Anybody have a clue ? or a tools i can use that are better than the "unworking" mediamanager ?

Well first of all, make sure uve got the latest Desktop Manager, u can get the latest at blackberry.com.

And make sure youve got the latest OS on ur BB.

Before u upgrade ur OS, try doing a Master Reset and see if that helps!

Default Find the problems

I found the problems. Someone talk about it on a different website.
The OS is 4.1 .. i need to upgrade it to 4.2, if i want to be compatible with the Desktop 4.2.
I try to find this answers on the Blackberry website, in the "Minimum requirement" download section, and the only thing they give, is PC requirement... nothing about the blackberry os version.

Finaly, i manage to put some of my MP3 on the device... by creating a personnal webpage, and put everything there !...

I will probably try the firmware upgrade, but need to check with our IT here (it's not my "personnal PDA", but the corporate PDA, so need to ask first) if it's compatible with the application they push us...

What exactly do you need to do? Run it through DM is about all you really want to do with your usb cord.
