Hi, i was having the same problem, I dont think that the 4.5 os on the 8700 can be installed on the 8703. I waS Trying to do the same thing, and it just wouldnt recognize it in the desktop manager, even after i upgraded the manager to 4.5.........

Hey, newbie here. Tried to upgrade 4.5v, app loader said 4.2 is the latest version for 8700. How do I upgrade to 4.5v?

I have an 8700g and am running 4.5.0.81 (Platform 2.7.0.78). I just upgraded last week and it was a breeze. I followed the instructions from CrackBerry ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]). I'm using Desktop Manager 4.6 as well.
