then install it and go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and delete the Vendor.xml and then upgrade ur phone do not upgrade til u delete the vendor.xml

Yes! 8700 OS will work for the 8700r

After I upgraded my 8700c to OS 4.5 I can now install themes exported for the 8800! They would instal before but when I went to activate them there was no way to. Just wanted to share that since 8800 themes are sweet, especially the iBerry theme found here:

hey, i install os 4.5 on my bb 8700r work fine then install 4.5 themes from here work o.k to but i can not access applications or settings on these themes what i see on my screen is minimum app what is the solution for that, thanks..

so you're saying 8800 themes work on 8700 4.5 os?


is it really worth the jump to 4.5 os from 4.2 on 8700? what are the improvements on 4.5 compared to 4.2?

I upgraded just to get the new themes, there are a few improvements like new media screen, voice recorder and prob others but mainly I went 4.5 to get the new (SWEET) themes! and yes themes for 8800 would work for me before (Because I tried to get the Halo theme for 8800 on here and it would put it on my apps list but I couldnt activate it. Once I load os 4.5 I tried it again and now I can load 8800 theme that are 4.2 and 4.5 onto my 8700!
