help im a newbe

i just got a new bb8700r and i dont know any thing i out the usb cable on the computer and i got no respond.. if i want to transfer ringtones and thems do i have to use destop manager
and if i do how do i get it and where???

First of, what OS are you using on your PC? As for transferring files from your phone to computer and vice versa, you don't need the DM. Just check your phone. It will ask you for connection to mass storage. Click yes and you'll get access to your files on your media card via your computer.

but 87xxs doesn't support side storage. 87xxs have to use DM.
