Question Must have Data package?

Do you have to have the Data package in order to download apps, games, etc. for your blackberry? Is there a way to download to your computer and then transfer to your BB through the desktop manager? Thanks in advance. I just got mine this week...8700c.

That's right! You can use the Application Loader feature in Desktop Manager to install games and applications!

If all you have is the .jad file, you need the rest of the .cod files to go with it. There is a program called OTA downloader which you would need to download all the files, then you need to transfer all the files downloaded to your phone in a temp directory, then you need to install it via your phone.
