Default Shamefully Noob Question

Hai guys, Sorry for the stupid question, but I just want to be clear before I break my new Berry...
(inb4 lurk moar, etc.)
When installing a new theme OTA, I need to make sure that my OS on the Berry is compatible with the theme. ie. If I have 4.1 and the theme is made for 4.2, I'll break it if I install it. If this is the case, where do I update the OS to 4.2?
Also, is there a sure-fire way to know what version a theme is designed for? I accidentally installed a theme through the Application Loader, but the theme was for the 8300 serious, mine being an 8703e. Silly me. Anyways, will this damage my berry? It doesn't show up on the theme list, so I figured I was alright.

Thanks in advance, ~Facerolol

Save yourself the headache and upgrade to 4.5. If it doesn't show up in your theme list, then it's not compatible with your OS.

It is not possible to update the firmware OTA. You need to use the desktop manager program -- especially since it will back up your device.

I totally agree! When I upgraded to 4.5 on my 8700 it was like I got a *NEW* phone. I have nothing bad to say about OS 4.5
