Question Blackberry Media Player

Please excuse my relative "newness" to the Blackberry. When I download an audio file, I am able to play it in the Blackberry media player. This application pops up automatically as I download the file. I'd like to be able to launch that application and listen to the files I have downloaded. However, I can't find any way to launch the application.

Is there a way I can get at the media player, or is it only available when an audio file gets downloaded?

Thanks in advance

i think you were pointing to mp3 file, and 8700 automatically recognize it as the tunes, and play it you are able wo save it as the tunes but 8700 dont have a media player to play mp3, unless you buy berry tunes from berrytunes.com.

in time, there will be someone who will create a media player for 8700 -- FOR FREE!!.

If you're running 4.2, just go to Media on the BB, select Ringtones and then device memory...your mp3s will be listed there. Just click and play...the media player will launch.

For what it's worth (not ideal) in 4.1, you can also go to Profiles -> Click Trackwheel -> Show Tunes to listen to audio files in the ringtones folder.
