First I suggest getting the update through AT&T because they officially released it. If you need the link let me know I'll get it for you. Secondly make sure you uninstall all the older versions you have. Once you download it and install it on your computer, make sure you use jl_cmd to wipe out your phone. Finally run apploader and it will install the new OS.

I located the carrier site and the latest update for ATT is 4.2...
I got the East Asia version with English support and deleted the vendor.xml. How do you run jl_cmd?

I was pretty sure that 4.5 officially came out for AT&T...

Go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and enter your pin to see what you get...(Your PIN is located under the battery)
You can also run this within Internet Explorer [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

I would advise checking out those 2 links before anything else...

jl_cmd is a little program that is run within Windows (sorry MAC users) and wipes out your BlackBerry...
You can find it here...[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

If you need any help, let me know. I'll be more than happy to assist you...
You can also PM me if you want something private or urgent...

If you get an OS that is released from a different carrier than yours, and it's higher, just because your carrier hasn't released it doesn't mean it's not official.

True. But the one downloaded could be older than the one offered by the carrier.

ATT isn't offering 4.5 over BB's website. I'm surprised that everyone thinks that it is. I've looked everywhere and am not seeing anything that says its available through ATT. The East Asia one is a little squirrelly. When I'm using 3rd party Zen themes, it uses the skin header in zen mode, but then switches to BB header in app mode. I'm not able to see the links above, so if someone can just put them in as text I can cut/paste them in because I got nothing for those links right now. Thanks!

I was misnotified...thank you for clearing that up. As for the themes, some 4.2.2 themes might work but for it to fit perfectly you need to get 4.5 themes.

If you google it, (os 4.5 for xxxx) then you should get plenty of links. Look for ones especially that are from blackberry's website because they don't usually have any bugs or problems with them, like os's from other sites sometimes do.
