Default Problem Reading Media Card

Hello. I am running into a problem and I have been searching around this forum, but have not been able to see an exact issue/response. I have a Blackberry Bold and have a media card inserted. I have formatted the media card and have mass storage turned on. When I connect the Bold to my PC via the USB cable, and bring up Windows Explorer (or My Computer), I am able to only see the device memory folders (music, video, picture, etc.), but not the media card folders. I get the same issue when I run desktop manager as I am able to see the device memory folders, but not the media card folders. I am able to see the media card folders through the phone itself and am able to access the files on it via the phone, but not via the PC. I have the latest OS loaded. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Perhaps you have the wrong type of card for your phone. There are certain formats of media cards that are not compatable with the Bold.

"Download this file and follow these instructions:

  1. Plug in your blackberry. DO NOT TURN ON DESKTOP MANAGER
  2. Run BB storage Activation bat file. A DOS window will open on your computer.
  3. Press any key on your computer keyboard.
  4. Wait till blackberry reboots
  5. Once your BBerry has rebooted, close the DOS window that appeared in step 2 on your desktop. "
I think i had that problem before. I used the instructions attached i got from another site to resolve the issue. You could get the BB storage Activation bat file from pinstack.com. Hope this helps.
