Is this going to be the official release??? I've tried the leaked 5.0 on my Curve 8330, didn't care for the way it worked with today styled themes... plus I've read alot about browser issues with the 9000... hoping this OS doesn't have the same issue...

I have been running it since the release and have only had a few reboot issues, but have fixed that with the media card format.

Themes work fine except for the ones that have the skinned Application Banner. Banner is messed up. But other than that, .314 has been good to me. Other ppl have had worse issues than me, so I'm lucky I guess.

One more week till I get my 9700!

Man!!!...i've been havin' all kinds of trouble with this upgrade.

All in all, i like it very much over the previous 4.6.0.266, wich i had in my bold for a long time. The thing that i like the most, it's the added options for the various menus all over the place. That it's great!!. For example the option to "flag" emails it's a huge adition!!. And a "File Explorer"...that's very cool to have without a third party app such as Aerize (no .zip tho)

On the other hand, just like DataCentre just said, there are issues with some themes. And the need for constant reboot at firts when runing this OS.

Had no problems with explorer tho

Third parties apps doesen't work unless you download the latest version (Viigo for instance). Capture It, Phoneface, Google Maps, Google Mobile, and the latest Viigo, all working fine now. Reply And Edit however seems to have issues regardless...Palringo doesen't work at all in this OS...

As for me, i had to repeat the upgrade procedure twice to make it work...and now, i've just finishing a master reset cause as i figure...the one thing that i need, it's just start the OS from scratch and now to make a restore (did the backup first last night of course...). Redaownloading and instaling apps now. All seem to be working correctly.

Maybe it's a healthy recomendation to make a wipe to the BB before the upgrade to this OS 5.0...maybe it's just my phone that was too fragmented on some memory sectors...i don't now.

Oh...i did the upgrade from DM 5.0.1, instaled on Windows 7 Ultimate.

PS: it's just me or it takes too long to restart whit OS 5.0??...

Cheers!!. and please keep the reports coming!!!

I previously tried 5.0.0.190 for my bold. It was usable and stable in North America. One day I traveled to Tokyo. When I turned on the BlackBerry after landing, at the minute it finds Docomo as a roaming service provider, it reboots itself. So I had to downgrade it to 4.6.x to make it usable in Japan. I don't know if there is anybody tested this version in roaming mode in Japan.

About the reboot issue which appears to be common, i can tell you that nothing happened to me until i traveled away from my city, and change my carrier zone (my country divides itself in 3 zones for celular range, as the antenas go along the way...and that's for all carriers).

So, we can expeculate about this and say that as long as you travel outside your current cel coverage, with this OS installed...your BB will reboot!! (??)

"welcome to the BETA generation!!"...my self...i'm about to downgrade to 4.6. I can just handle this much of this reboot bussines...

Newest OS for the 8900/9000 is 5.0.0.346, but hasn't been leaked. May or may not. Wait and see.

The past months have been crazy with the arrival of new BB models...so it's no wonder why there are so many OS versions out there, with betas for 5.0 and so on...

The good news is for us...the costumers!!...so yes!!...i'll wait!!

Kudos!
