Default BB Bold restarting itself

Hello there!

I am having a bit of a problem. My new bb bold restarts itself and so does my 8120.

Has anyone experienced this? If yes, how did you get it sorted?

I have spoken to my service provider and they have recorded no such faults.

Help needed please!!

Thanks guys

I had the exact same problem when I got my new 8310, but only re-booted when using the GPS. Installed the new 4.5 OS but that didn't solve the problem. Roger's exchanged my phone with a new one and it works great. Turns out it was a hardware fault.

this is really strange as I have had my 9120 for close to a year and it only started doing that 2 weeks ago

I alsp gpt the bold only this week and it is doing that now. So even if it was a hardware fault, that would not affect my 8120 would it? as I have had it for a long long time.

I spoke to my service provider again and was told they would send me a new SIM card. I will try it a couple of days and see how I get on. If it still restarts, then I will go get a new one sent to me

I'm new to this Blackberry Forum thing and while looking for some themes for my new Bold I noticed this thread. I had the same problem with my Bold on Orange and in fact for the first week it was great then it started to fail and switch off and the battery lasted only a day!
Looking around the net I came across this firmware update which has fixed all my troubles and was real easy to install

9000jEastAsia_PBr4.6.0_rel268_PL4.0.0.144_A4.6.0.1 47_CSL

Its simple to find and well worth the little effort it takes to carry out!
Good luck
