Default Video capture seems darker then photo capture, is there a way to fix this?

It seems like when I take a picture with my BlackBerry Bold, the images come out very nice and if it's dark, the flash brings out the pictures nicely for the most part. When I switch over to the video capture application, the auto light focus seems very dark and doesn't capture videos very well unless it's in a very well lit room or the blinding flash is constantly on but even then, the light only goes so far.

Is this an issue with other peoples phones and if so, is there a way to fix this?

I just downloaded the newest Rogers update (9000M_PBr4.6.0_rel292_PL4.0.0.155_A4.6.0.162_Roge rs.exe) so I don't believe thats the issue.

It's not dirty because it's been doing this since I got it.

It's not the lens or anything, it's the auto lighting when you turn it on, you can see it turn on and start to get progressively darker. I tested my friends curve with my bold and it was so much darker. Is there a way to change more video settings?

just leave the light on when recording and you should be fine you can set it to stay on in the options setting

That works for close up videos, but for everything else it's not so good. And I understand how the light works... that isn't my issue, it's like the auto focus is going darker then it has to.

I called Rogers today and the dude at Tech Support was a total dumb ass... I knew more about Blackberry's then he did

I had the same problem when I upgraded to .162, and still have it with .190. Didn't try it with .185, but you could always try that build and see if it's any better.

The Rogers guy told me that I'm running an old version and that 292 was the newest version when I told hiim I'm running v4.6.0.162... I'm like ah no dumbass, it's not... I argued with him until he got fed up, rushed me through it and basically hung up on me lol Idiot...

I haven't tried 190 yet, but I'm thinking of giving it a go right now.
