Anyone try the new 5.0 os on the bold??

so what are the main difference with 477?

Loaded 5.0 recently.

Pros:
speed - faster overall - working, switching apps, etc.
Battery - seems to last longer
new interface - gives more refined options (you can set the number of times 'vibrate' vibrates.

Cons:
locks up sometimes - seems to be on first time I launch and application. This is not on every time I launch a new app. (after that applications seem to run much faster)
Facebook doesn't work.

Did you say the only thing that isnt working is msn? Do you use Facebook or yahoo or google talk? Those are all the apps that I can no longer use. If you have it working I would love to hear back from you... thanks!

None of the IM programs work except for IM+, BeeJive and a couple others. Skuttle-butt is that when FB 1.7 is released, it will work on the 5.0 OS. Docs2Go. Doesn't work either which is the main reason why I went back to 4.6.

I don't have a bold but I tried to do it on my Curve and it effed it all up! Deleted BBM altogether and I lost everyone.. HATE YOU BLACKBERRY lol! Fml

The interface is nice but I really cannot work without my IMs. So I will have to wait until they got those bugs fixed

Wth?? What curve did u try it on? Are you talking about the 8900?

Noo I don't have the 8900. Its the 8330.. I refuse to try it again until its out of Beta, I'm sure its not that exciting anyway.. Only would be if EVERYONE had it
