As for me...i'm of course not glad to see Data's experience, but glad to see a post with a real compare between devices.

So...i'm also gonna wait for that 9900 (would that be the touch + full qwerty i read about??...that would be cool!!)

Not sure how you can say the speaker sucks or the icons are to small the speaker is very good the icons are normal size and learn how to adjust the ring volume it is very load.
Obviously you do not have the 9700 or you would not make your foolish comments.

The phone is solid the new operating system is excellent with so many new options to tweek out the phone.

I am very pleased with it.

Yeah...I have played with the 9700. It only has one speaker. The 9700 has 3 and surround sound.

Looks like you're coming from the 8900, so what would you know about the 9000 compared to the 9700. It's a downgrade going from the 9000 to the 9700.

I got my 9700 on the first day. I upgraded from an 8320 Titanium Curve on T-mobile. Going in I really thought that there would be no way it would be worth any price to upgrade, because really how much better could it really be? WELL, I couldn't be more happy.

Everything is so much faster! Getting from one screen to another, opening programs, closing programs. The track-pad is much easier to use than the track-ball and you don't have to worry about the dirty discoloring. The 5.0 operating system is a giant leap better than the one on the 8320. Basically everything is way more user-friendly and the bedside mode clock is very useful The camera is great, and the video recording is even better! I was surprised at how well the video recording is, not to mention the sound quality it produces through it is great too. The KEYPAD! When i first looked at the phone and initially felt it, i thought typing was going to be a lot worse and was a big decision maker for me as I got the phone, but luckily for the grace period I was ok to jump ship anyway to test it out. The keypad is AMAZING! The keys now feel perfect and I make very noticeably less mistakes than I did with my curve when texting, which i REALLY thought would be impossible because the curve keypad is great. The screen is much more crisp and colorful looking than the curve as well.

The 9700 really is an all in one, it's built great, runs great, looks great, feels great and has every feature you want or need on a phone(unless you LOVE touchscreen, goto iPhone). I would have to rate this phone a 9.9/10, because really no phone can be perfect, but this one to me truly is, but in general I'm just being real.

i wasn't expecting the the trackpad to perform as well as it is....very smooth and 'crisp'...

love the look as well...elegant...simple...

keyboard feels easier and more comfortable vs my Tour (which I only had for about 5 months)
