So I called TMO and asked them if I can use Curve with their service. 3 of their reps said, no sir u can’t do it as far as data services (internet, email bb messenger etc…) But ahh what the hack, let’s just do it our way
So to bring your internet and email back do the following.
1. *Register To See Links* (Around $20)
NOTE: Once your phone is unlocked and your TMO sim is inserted, you should be able to make calls.
2. Downgrade your OS.
Download an OS for BB Curve from *Register To See Links*
NOTE: Downgrading isnt as bad as it sounds, infact I find this OS no different than the stock one. For upgrade/downgrade instructions see *Register To See Links*
3. After u reinstall your OS go to Options/Advanced Options/Service Book/ and delete ALL service books.
4. Go to Options/Advanced Options/Host Routing Table/hit menu and choose “Register Now”
6. After you log in into your account, at the very bottom click on “Set Up Blackberry Internet Email”
7. On the left side click on “Service Books” and then click on “Send Service Books”
This might take up to 15 min. Just rest and wait. Your browser and your email should come back. If your email doesn’t show up, go to “Set Up Internet Email” from your BB and go through the whole set up process one more time.
FYI: I recently setup an unlocked curve to work on T-mobile and I ran into an issue where I did everything correctly but I was still not receiving the browser or t-zones icons. I did some research and found that I needed to get a new SIM card. I found some other people on the web that mentioned this, so I tried it and it worked. As soon as I inserted the new SIM, my icons appeared. My original SIM was about 3 years old. T-mobile was kind enough to replace my SIM at no charge.
Awesome! I work for T-Mobile and I just got my Curve and cannot put this thing down! T-Mobile is pretty good about that kind of stuff! Thank you for choosing us!
