As well as Alltel?, I believe for alltel you do the settings similar buy have your modem dial #777 for the connections but as far as setting up the Black berry, I dunno.

Its easier to get the tetherberry that just launched today. Avoids getting charged by your carrier for the tethered modem usage.

I use free WIFI. WIll that be an issue?

It does work with vista. With alltel you dial #777 and no username/password. You have to have bbdm opened or it won't recognize the connection.

I have a bb curve 8330, sprint as my carrier and vista for a os. I have no internet other then my bb and the sprint store told me to come here since I'm unable to download programs via my laptop. Is it true? Is there a way to use my bb as a tethered modem with my setup without downloading the software?
