I'm about to post the T-Mobile settings, its extremely similar with the exception of the Init string that you have to type, I know this works because I've done it before plus I work for the Data Support group at T-Mobile and have gotten tons of Blackberry users setup before.

Here is the T-Mobile settings, as you can see it is very similar if you have questions feel free to PM me

Setting up the modem

On the PC, connect the USB cable from the USB port to the side of the handset.
Windows will detect the handset and install the drivers.
Double click the Desktop Manager icon.
Click Options and then Connection Settings.

When the Warning dialog box appears, click OK.

Click the Modems tab.
Click once on the Standard Modem and click Properties.
Click the Advanced tab.
Type +cgdcont=1,”IP”,”wap.voicestream.com” in the Extra initialization commands field.
Click OK twice to complete the setup.

Setting up the connection

On the PC, click Start, Settings, Control Panel and then double click Network Connections.
Click the link to Create a new connection.
This will open a New Connection Wizard. Click Next to begin the setup.
Click to select Connect to the Internet.

Click Next.
Check the box to select the Standard Modem.
Ensure it is the only modem checked and click Next.
Type T-Mobile GPRS for the ISP Name and click Next. (Does not really matter what its called)
Type *99# for the Phone number.
Click Next.
User Name and Password are both blank there is nothing for the T-Mobile network.
Click Finish to complete the setup.

Making the connection

On the PC, return to the Network Connections folder and double click the AT&T Data icon.
Ensure the Dial field reads *99#.
Click Dial.
You will now be connected to the T-Mobile Data service.

If you get error 692 restart your computer and your blackberry, when the computer comes back up make sure that the Blackberry Desktop Manager shows connected in the bottom left.
If you get error 734 your initialization command is wrong in some way, check it over again and try putting in at at the beginning, at+cgdcont=1,"IP","wap.voicestream.com"
Error 777 is potentially the same as 734 or there is some kind of network problems.

I too am looking for instructions to tether my 8300 to my macbook but the instructions I find have me download a script and put it in my library then set up the bluetooth but in setting up the modem part there is some box that it says i have to tick as well as some other box (sorry I don't have it in front of me) but only one of the two exist and well basically it does not work. I figure the instructions were for OSX Tiger and not Leopard. I used to get it to work with my PC oh so sweet but now that I have changed teams and gone over to Mac and Leopard is my first OS I am kind of stuck. I would really appreciate some help from anyone as I discontinued my Internet service with my provider months ago when I started using my bb as a modem with my old pc laptop.
