It's a good OS, but still has a few bugs in it, and some apps don't work at all.

Yeah..It's only been a day since I tried it but the first issue I faced was the phone connected to my home WiFi but the browser didn't let me surf the net.

P.S. I am on Vodafone India and the browser was configured to use Hotspot

Default Works for me

I also tried the .100 release but it just killed my battery in about 30 mins...

Some icons disappeared after I installed 5.0, but that is a limitation of the application (Docs to Go), however, I am able open Word, Excel and PPT docs without any issues.

I also am able to use all UMA (WiFi) functions on both private, public networks...

No issues with either BES or BIS.

Some themes need to be setup like I want them again after the upgrade, however, I do see a gain in loading, searching etc.

My BB:
8900
5.0.0.93

So, this OS updates have been coming out form leaks, etc., but none of them have become official?? Should I wait for the official releases or not?

there's no an official OS from blackberry, but you should take the chance to upgrade it. if you dont like it you just downgrade it.
If you upgrade it, let me know if there is any problem in it.
