This is probably mentioned so much in this forum but havnt been able to really find the info anywhere.

what does the data plan give the blackberry exactly? what extra can you do if you have a data plan?

any other info would be greatly appreciated

i can already use the browser . . just not blackberry messenger . . do i need a data plan to use that ?

Yes. You have to have a blackberry data plan to use the bb messenger as it requires connection to the blackberry server.

When you say "you already have internet" are you referring to Wi-Fi? If so, you can use Facebook any time you're connected, yes. Same goes for AIM.

Is that a serious question? U don't download it, u hav to call ur service povider and activate a data plan, depending on who u hav as a provider it will cost u quite a bit of money monthly.
