Default SMS Lag?

So I know there have been many threads like this, but none of them have really helped me and have not resolved my problem.

My problem is that there is lag when I am sending and opening SMS messages from the people that I text a lot. There is no lag with the people that I don't text very often. But with the people that I do text very often, when I send a text it lags for 5-10 seconds before going back to the SMS inbox; when I open a received unread text it lags for 5-10 seconds before showing me the actual text.

I have the most recent OS; I've set the number of previous items to 4; I've tried deleting all my texts (plus I'd rather keep my old texts at least for a few days); I've tried multiple battery pulls; I have 126168439 bytes of free space.

Is there any way I can get rid of and fix this lag? Please and thank you for any help.

Try a different OS. Clear your Phone Event Log.

you need to go into options, SMS, and change the amount previous shown to a lower level, like 3 or 4... this will show the last 3/4 msgs when you open the new one in the SMS folder... make sense? whats happening right now is the device is loading the old msgs hence the delay
