I installed it instantly and was waiting to be blown away. This IS “The official smartphone of TicketMaster” so there I was expecting big things!

Turns out that Ticketmaster for BlackBerry is just a glorified browser shortcut/plugin with some added menu items and BlackBerry Wallet integration… YAY! There better be some great deals and ticket offers to make up for building up so much hype for a lightweight web app… In truth it is just a regular mobile website that would work on any other device. Do you really need the wallet integration if TicketMaster just saved your payment information when you register?

Ticketmaster for BlackBerry still has the same annoying 2 minute timer for purchasing your tickets so you better type fast! At least Ticketmaster gave up on their annoying use of CAPTCHA when you search for tickets on your BlackBerry. The only really new thing you will see is that the app adds some shortcut links to the menu of the browser. Even the location setting does not have the option to use GPS in case you did not know the zip code.
