Default Registering bb 8320

I am having trouble registering my BB 8320 CURVE on the network. I go to the menu->advanced options>host routing table and then click on the registern now, and nothing is happening. It appears that when the data service is available it will send the message.
What am i doing wrong, or how can i solve this?
Thanks

Call your carrier and have them re-send the service books to your BB.

You shouldn't really have to do anything. You don't need to do anything with your phone. Once you sign up with BB service with your carrier, that's it. They send the service books to your phone and you're good to go. You should have got 2 msgs with regards to registration...if not, call your carrier.

You can also go into mobile network, hit the menu key and scroll the diagnostics test option. Press the trackball and chose RUN. Once complete it will send u a msg stating that ur device has been registered wit the mobile network. If this doesn't work, go wit datacentre's advice n call ur carrier or take it instore. But 2 be completely honest u shouldn't even have 2 do all of this. If the phone was activated properly from the beginning it should already be registered.

Yes. U should already be in a wireless plan that cover data. U can't purchase a data plan thru ur carrier without changing ur plan from a reg to a data. Now if u had any type of smartphone prior to buyin this phone, all should be well. U shouldn't be having any issues. Like my first data phone was the moto q. I had a reg. Lg flip phone before I upgraded. Once I got the q I was placed in a plan that covered my data services. Since I've had the pearl n now the curve n my plan is the same. Some carriers charge for kbps used. With a data plan u rec'v unlimited internet n data used. If u ever notice the arrows in the upper right hand corner of ur phone constantly visible is because of constant updates n things being transmitted 2 ur phone. I had a cust once purch the bb 8830 on ebay, call tech support to have the esn/hex changed n that was it. He didn't change the plan or anything which made his bill very high. Call ur carrier n go over ur services with them. They should be able 2 shed more light on the situation. Sorry 4 the long response. Just don't want u 2 have 2 pay out the ass for ur carrier not providing u with the right info.

If you have the correct data plan, you should also be able to go to the carrier blackberry site and register your device yourself. You will need a PIN and IMEA number to register your device. There should be a link to send the service books. If you are not sure that you have the correct plan, then you definately need to call the carrier help desk. Please note that once you sign in for a data plan, the carrier will not assign you with a login name. You will have to create one for yourself.
