Flip phones are cool back in 2006, but I think they just break easily. Could you imagine if they made flip QWERTY phones?

I saw the pics and I think the Pearl 8220 has released already. I agree that the outside looks ok, yet kinda plain. But when u open it, its not very appealing. I had the 8130 Pearl and upgraded 2 the Curve 8330. I used 2 own a flip, but between having the open face style 4 so long I've gotten used 2 it and wouldn't go back. But yeah, I wouldn't buy the flip pearl.

Default my thoughts

i couldnt resist the flip. i got my hands on one and ill have to say that it really is a meh phone. i have had an 8100 for a year and a half or so and have enjoyed it. the flip is just about the same size as the other pearls when it is closed and is kind of a long thing when its opened.

i have had it for a couple days now and it has grown on me somewhat. it is a little bit sluggish compared to my old 8100 but time will tell if it is goin to be a good investment.

i would put money on it that after a test period and if it takes off they will step up their game and make it more appealing and what not. but for now i will say im mildly impressed and left wanting more out of the phone itself.

just my 2 cents.

Well I bought my 1st BB only a few months ago, which is the pearl 8110. Honestly I can't see myself going back to a regular flip phone, but at this point since I am near the bottom of the BB chain with the pearl, I would consider the pearl flip a slight upgrade.but if I had some of the BB upper models, I prolly wouldn't back up for the pearl flip. Maybe in the future there will be a BOLD flip or something more attractive & smaller that more users will like? I'm trying to figure out what I will upgrade to in the near future. What is a better device that is a step up from a pearl, but not as costly as the touchscreen?

Several years ago I had a BB Pearl (for work) but once laid off, so was it! My most recent phone was the T-Mobile Wing and I hated it! Everything about it! So, after 30 days I purchased the BB8220 Flip and so far I am thrilled with it!
