Yea I don't like the flip. I guess RIMs way of attracting younger people maybe. But it felt kinda awkward, especially the trackball. It was so far down in the phone it was crazy! Lol they had to make room so the top would close all the way.

I'm a flip phone guy myself. They're more pocket-friendly, still stylish too as far as I'm concerned, but best of all it keeps the home screen from getting scratched. Besides, usually other new designs are just flash-in-the-pan variations on a flip. I do, however like the proliferation of touch-screen units on the market. I played around with a friend's iphone touch a little while ago and I was really impressed. Now if only someone would combine a flip with touch screen capabilities (like a DS) I'd be sold, lol.

i have a flip and i like it...i dunno why people hate on them they have good qualities and bad but i have to say more good. and im defiantly not a girl lol...that being said i like flip phones because the buttons dont mash in your pocket so you dont have to lock the screen all the bloody time lol. but i do agree that they arent very durable.

I have the flip and it appears to work identical to the pearl... better in someways upgraded, it just flips. however, the look gives the impression that it doesnt have all the bells and whistles, but oh boy! love it, love it, love it!

AAAAHHHH! please hook me up with some themes for this FLIPPIN' flip phone !. I've had it for a week and every night I'm at a forum looking for themes for the 82xx. I tried the 81xx themes but not all of them will work. I really like it but geez!! I feel like shoving HELLO KITTY on this phone 'cuz there is no guy themes out there.

It's a great phone but I recently traded it for the 8900 for the full keyboard and bigger screen.
