Default settings in profile/sound problem

I've searched the forum and I've been playing around with my device, just can't see to figure out why?

When I go in Sounds > Set Ring Tones/Alerts > Phone or any other ones from the drop list, it only allows me to change my profiles for LED, Vibration and Notify Me During Calls...the rest of the options like set ring tune as, volume level, in out of hoslter is not there. Can anyone help me out?

Try downloading and installing the Latest OS for your phone and see if that helps out some. Find the thread here:

Hey Data,

I did a battery pull and it's working now, odd...could it be a glitch? I'm gonna gonna update my OS later on tonight.

Thanks

Excellent. I didn't ask if you did a battery pull as that is something that BB users usually do first when trying to figure things out.

Yeah you're totally right, I've should have known better as an experienced BB user...with all these 3rd party applications that allows you to reset your device, I totally forgot about the battery pull! lol, thanks tho

Hey Data,

I just update my OS from .148 to .167, i noticed on some of my themes on the home screen, with .148 when i select an icon and remove my finger, i'm still selected on that icon. With .167 when i select an icon on the home screen and left my finger off noting is selected, i have to hold my finger down on an icon then the text indicator will tell me what it is.

Just wonder if that's a new feature with .167? Or is there a setting that i can change?

Thanks

Got me man. Wouldn't touch a Storm if my life depended on it. Touch screens suck!

Try deleting a theme and re-install. If it does the same thing, then it's OS related. Also, a new 5.0 leak came out today for the 9530. Should check that out as well if you don't mind testing beta OS'.
