Default Latest OS: 9530 5.0.0.508/5.0.0.328 (Multilanguage)

BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.328 (Multilanguage)
This is from Verizon Wireless, and will work on any 9530 model by following the directions below.

Package Version: 5.1.0.0.508
Consisting of:

* Applications: 5.0.0.328
* Software Platform: 4.2.0.128
* File name: 9530AMEA_PBr5_1_.0.0_rel508_PL4.2.0.128_A5.0.0.328 .ex e
* File size: 132MB

Download the OS file here:

Instructions for installing either version on ANY carrier's 9530:

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

Nice update...

I believe most phones that were released Friday have this version...
If anyone is running into some lag or other issues, it is a good idea to reload this software...

I couldn't take the problems anymore...
I installed the leaked OS 4.7.0.75...What a difference it makes...
Everything is much more responsive, including the Bluetooth, although I have yet to solve the sync issue...

The new OS 4.7.0.xx is rumored for tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath.

Visual Voicemail is an addition charge...

Vodafone officially released 4.7.0.78 for the 9500...
I hope Verizon isn't far behind...
4.7.0.75 isn't bad but I hope there are some major improvements including bluetooth on the way...

Apparently 4.7.0.76 was released by Bell. Rumor has it that it shows major improvements over 4.70.75.

Anyone know if it's true and if they fixed the camera issue and the other problems people noted about this earlier leaked OS?
