I'll choose Storm, cos I hate those full qwerty buttons taking so much space.
One thing tho' I miss on Storm is handwriting recognition.
If there was app for handwriting, that would be great.
By the way Storm is my first BB. Get slow when the ram is running low.

Yes
Hi all,
I'm relatively new to the BlackBerry World, having purchased my first BlackBerry this past May.
My friend has a Curve and he let me use it for a bit to see how I liked it and I instantly fell in love.
However, when I started looking around at the different BlackBerry SPs, the Storm most definitely sparked my interest. Despite all of the complaints and issues I read about online and heard from friends (conveniently owning iPhones), I forged ahead with the Storm. . . and I absolutely LOVE it.
It does take some time to get used to and (especially with txting) I doubt I'll ever be able to type away without looking down (kinda miss those days), but everything else has truly knocked my damned socks off. My Browsing is speedy-quick, the applications are progressing, and the "lagging" has pretty much deceased.
However, I am learning new things everyday and I perhaps do not poweruse my phone as some do, but I felt obligated to put in a good word for this gadget as it has reinvigorated my appreciation for technology.

Well I will be happy to let the fam know that I just purchased a Storm and I say yes. The first Storm that I tried in the store, I would have said a resounding "no". But they have just had a new software update that made some changes to the way it handles memory. I will find the actual changelog but I bought the one that had the new updates and it soars compared to the other one. Also, I just think that it takes some getting use to. The one that I am using moves pretty good and the reaction time now is increased when pressing the screen in. The Verizon dealer also stated that RIM will continue to do updates as they do more troubleshooting.

First off, ignore anyone who based their opinion of the storm on the in-store demo. That is a foolish thing to do with any phone. The demos are used and abused by anyone and everyone, and treated like trash. This is especially bad on a touch screen phone where you have to click the screen to choose options. Get a hold of a friends storm if you want an accurate feel of what to expect. I LOVE MY STORM. I wanted a touch screen phone and i love the way the storm works. The texting was rough at first, but i got used to it quickly. This was my first BB experience and I would definitely give this phone a GO

There were some quirks in it that were aggravating when it first launched, but since the last OS upgrade those were fixed. I've found that most of the problems I've encountered were self inflicted by downloading apps, games and software that were still in beta testing. Generally, when I uninstalled them it corrected the issues. Setting up the memory cleaner to run when idle makes a HUGE difference. I like the larger screen for web browsing and application usage, but that's probably because I'm getting old and my eyesight is getting worse. I'm a textaholic too and really have no issue with the screen. Overall, I've been pleased with it.
I have a friend with a Bold, I like it too. Haven't played with a Tour yet, but I'm curious.

I say no 2 the storm. I have the BB Tour now nd its much better nd faster than the storm. U still got ur 3.2 megapixel camera, which is awesome. The browser has bn updated nd its just as good as operamini. Running os 4.7. I had the storm but the whole touch screen thing is much diff than any other touch I've ever dealt wit. The whole click thing is annoying. If u don't touch it or click it 100%, ur request will b ignored nd the screen will not respond. I was thinking lcd type touch. The storm has a glass face so its alittle harder 2 deal wit. I'm a female wit small hands. The txt onscreen keypad takes a long time 2 get used 2. I found, even tho I hate the iphone, it has a more sensitive touch system because of the screen. Don't get me wrong, the storm is a beautiful phone. Very unique, but if u want a bb, get the tour. Its not touch, but u have the power of the bold, 8830, and the body of the storm all in 1 device.

i found it difficult but yes
I recently moved from an iphone and curve to a storm
well at first i thought i phone is a much cooler phone coz it hangs lesser or never when compared to a storm or a curve coz the texting and emailing part is fabulous .. but once you get used to a storm its pretty decent ..
i phone and storm cannot be compared .. they have their own pros and cons ..

I've had the Storm since release(almost a year now)... and it started off shaky. But I must say, that this phone is the best phone I have ever owned, and as of now, with the software update, it runs almost flawlessly.
If you are going to buy the storm now, I would wait, since the Storm2(odin) is on its way(should be released to Verizon in a couple of months...)
But in my opinion, I love the Storm, and it definitely competes with my friends Iphones.
