Storm, YES or No Overall??
OK Ladies and gents. We are all die hard Berry lovers, but i GOTTA know. Is the storm a yes or a no?
Obviously there are some things that bother some people more than others and a lot of people are picky for no reason. But Let's cut the shit, honestly. Does the storm get a green light overall?
PLEASE someone give me an opinion on what they think overall.
Typing? once you get used to it, is it as tricky as people say?
Buggy and slow? True? not true?
anyways, if you have a storm and love it, or hate it, let me know honestly before i go out and break my bank to get one.
Thanks, Rick

From what I've experienced, NO. It can be buggy, that's true and I've heard that from a lot of people.

I've tried my friends Storm, and it's a NO for me as well. Way too easy to make mistakes and it's a ***** to correct.

I'm sorry as a die hard tech freak I'm gonna have to say NO also. I didn't buy one but I spent some time playin with it in the store.I also spoke with two employees at the store who at the cost of their commision didn't recomend it.and a very nice lady in tech support told me she wouldn't buy one if it was free.sorry :o( it just looks cool

Even with it being the very first BB touch, NO. Too much money for too many problems. Wait for the second Gen storm. By then it will have most of the kinks out thanks to all the testers that went and bought one!

I tried it in the stores on several occassions. Besides its looks similar to the iphone. It was very difficult for me to text, since I am a textaholic...maybe I just need to get use to it, but I wasn't about to spend $$ and find out I would never get use to it. When I was moving from one screen to other apps, it seemed like there was lag time vs Blackberry Bold. When the pressing down on the screen was nice, I got to think..man, who knows, after too many presses, that screen may fall off or may not..who knows...my Bold's track ball broke in less than 3 months of having it (when I got it, I noticed it was having problems, still working though, but finally gave out) with my luck, I said it would fall off for me. I would say NO for me.

What do you prefer? the Bold, or the 8900?

My buddy is getting an 8900 today but based on that facts its the better choice! Better camera, better screen (which the bold is known for), perfect trackball, it really is a better all-around phone. Its not 3G which doesn't really matter to the average person. As a matter of fact, no 3G is the only thing that should be keeping you from making this choice.
Esthetically speaking, Bold is all about business, 8900 is more for show (like the storm). I think of it as a fusion of the Bold and Storm

Yes for me, I've had the storm about a week and at first I was thinking what am i getting into here. It's hard to text(use landscape, and put your finger on the letter you dont have to see it), its hard to move the cursor in the word (hold your finger on the word and a small box appears and its easy to scroll letter by letter), it lags(remove some aps from the home screen). It does need some configuring out of the box, it has a learning curve, like all new gadgets. If you got the patients the cool new phone is worth it.
