Default Clearing the log on a Storm

Morning Everyone,

I am having some latency issues on the Storm and I was hoping that clearing the log would help. It didn't but I figured I would share how to clear it because it is a bit different from the other devices. Here are the steps:

1. From the home screen click the blackberry button (menu button) and choose show keyboard (turn sideways for qwerty)
2. Then hold the numbers button for a second to change characters to #s
3. Click " then / then " then / This will show a string of events
4. Click the blackberry button (menu button) and then select clear log then delete

I hope this helps all you storm users out there.

Good Luck!

The purpose of this is keeping your BB running at optimum speed with out deleting your various apps that you love so much.

you can also chose not to see the log which is better unless your troubleshooting your storm, the log takes up memory and like the event viewer in a pc, shows you errors that have occured and saves them for you, the way to not show the log is time consuming but to you really need memory wasted on logs that tell your bb what programs you open? i would assume since you opened it you would know its been opened. you can turn the logging back on if you run into any issues in the future. have fun and remember all the memory on your storm is only good if its available. i also encourage you guys to check out an app know as storm stat. lets you see your memory in Megabytes.( kind of like going to options and to status just faster and lets you see it more understandable for non techs.
