ps3 problems - eVeek

Not sure if anyone here can help me with this but since I posted this in three other playstation forums with no response I might as well give it a try.....

About 2 months ago I did a system update on my ps3. No big deal, every once and a while this happens. Well now NO discs will load. Not games. Not blue ray. Nothing! Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

Have you tryed calling Sony? Also what you might want to try doing is Downgrade then upgrade

Yeah, if u dg that may help. Go back to the previous version. I think my PS3 is running on 2.4 I think. I can't remember. When I bought GTA4 or MGS4 one had a system update included and automatically updated my system. How did u go about updating yours?

PS upgrades suck...I upgraded my PSP now I can't do anything

yeh i called sony and this time about a year ago i bought the ps3...so its real close to the warranty running out...and since best buy magically cant find my receipt, sony said it wouldnt honor the warranty....:mad:

i found a web site where i downloaded an older version of the system software, burned it to a disc, but the ps3 doesnt read that disc either...how else would i downgrade?

hey wrecked77 i know you can connect the ps3 to your pc ................. cuz my friend did and ill ask him how if works too..............

Simple solution: Ditch the PS3 and Buy an XBOX 360! lol. Hope you get it working again though
