Arrow OTA Themes

Hi All.

I wonder if someone can help?

No matter which forum I go to, no-one seems to want answer my question and give me some help with how to, not just creat OTA themes, but what to do next after I have created the theme.

This must be the biggest secret in the world or everyone has signed the 'Official Secrets Act'.

I am new to themes for the BlackBerry and have no problem in making themes, for use with the Desktop Manger.

But, I want to learn hoe to save my themes that can be installed OTA, like many others do.

I have used Plazmic to save as 'jad' but then have no idea as to what to do with all the files that are created?

I have web sites that I can upload to, so, if this is not the biggest secret in the world, can anyone help and explain to me what to do?

What do I do with the many files that Plazmic created?

I wait in anticipation, just in case there is some one on this forum who can actually break the Official Secrets Act.

Well there is no secret. Its just a hard thing to explain. Either you must have an apache server site or a site with an OTA uploader.

For the apache server. Upload all files into the site directory including the HTAccess file. Then use the .jad link on your site to download by OTA.

For the OTA uploader server. Upload all files into one folder in the uploader. Then use the .jad file link to place on your site for use of OTA download.

I know this is vague, but like I said, hard to explain hope this helps.

Hi alucardfair.

Many thanks for your reply.

I've been doing some investigation of my own and have discovered that (as you said) it depends what type of serves you site is on. Then there was something else about the server being enabled to ... well it got a bit too complex and even when I phoned my host/s they didn't help much. They just pointed me to some help files. Useless was a word that came to mind!

Anyway, I have uploaded the .jad file and the .cod files to one of my web sites and it works.
All I can guess is that the servers there must be enabled with what ever is required.

I thank you for taking the time, cause not many others have.
