Device software and desktop software?

I just got a blackberry and i installed the new device software and desktop manager. I noticed the device software takes up a lot of space on my hard drive. Can i unistall the device software now it is installed on my phone. Or do i still need it on my Computer to use the desktop manager when i make changes? Thanks in advance.

You can delete it from your computer. Not really needed other than if you need to re-install something on your phone.
