Default help with 8310

Let me start by saying that I don't have much experience with the BB! I was trying to install an update last night into the phone and eveything was working out fine until I got almost to the end. The a got a error, stating that itcouldn't finish the ugrade. Now all I have is a blinking red light and the phone will not turn on. Taking out the battery is not helping out at all. Any ideas or someone to call for help.

You'll need to wipe the BB with JL_cmder then do an OS reinstall. Its no big deal dont worry your phones not broke.

i had the exact same problem when i tried this to on my 8310. i dissconected it from the computer.

1. disconect from computer with battey out.
2. reinstall battery.
3. close BB desktop manager
4. after the BB starts up and is (verified) reconnect it
5. try to re update it. dont touch it a whole lot just try and leave it be while it does this.
6. if this does not work please let us know

so how do i do a quick restart? I downloaded the correct software. Sometimes when i start the desktop manager-disconnected, or when it does go through it says that a fatal error occurred while updating my device. If I can't fix it myself is there somewhere I can go where they can do it for me? I doubt the att store will do it right.

Is your device still working properly? If so its not nuked and you may want to uninstall your DM and os and restart the upgrade from scratch...

I'm still stuck with a black screen, can't turn the phone on and the red led light just keeps blinking. Is there anyone I can call or go to?
