apologies to start.. i have searched repeatedley, but unfortunately i am unable to find a solution to my problem as everyone else seems to have a different issue....

the downloads (games) within this forum, are mostly of the .zip variety, now winzip doesnt like them, says its invalid..

renaming them to rar works, though i dont see why someone would label them as zip for no reason. Unfortunately when i un'rar' them, the files have no extentions.. so they are useless...

i am new to all of this, but i am competent on a pc.. and my searches are in vain...

what do i do with these zip files please help..

I have actually had problems with winzip. So I switched over to altools.com and downloaded alzip(does zip, rar, tar etc).

You might wanna look into that.

i have tried it with winzip, winrar and windows own unzip utility, all of which say invalid, or damaged... all of the files i have downloaded have the same problem,

so the soloution is to get this new altools.com?
i am havin the same problem with winzip

and when u are suppose to simply rename it to rar. is it simply just renaming or is there somethin else im missin?
