Default Maximum Supported SD Cards

Here it is straight from RIM:

"Currently the BlackBerry smartphones running the following BlackBerry® Device Software versions will support up to the size listed."

BlackBerry Device Software, Media Card Size Limit

BB Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2GB
BB Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4GB
BB Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4GB
BB Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8GB
BB Device Software 4.5.0 16 and Up!!

You think 4.5 and up will support 32GB?

The guy in the store told me the 8330 Curve will support up to 32gb cards, which aren't even out yet. But then again, he forgot to hook up my internet plan. So not sure I trust what he says.

Hmm... So I guess the curve won't support 32 GB?

There's no 32gb card out yet, I don't think.

I have Curve 8300 with OS v.4.5.0.52 and just put a 16gb microSDHC card in and get all 14.9gb of it (16,000,000,000) divided by 1024 3 times, oh marketing is great). I was glad because update to OS 4.5.0.81 didn't work.

That makes no sense. Why would a 4.5 OS support 16GB and up, and the 4.6 only up to 16GB? That's just stupid if you ask me. So I'm guessing that the 4.7 OS will only support a 8GB??? LoL.

Yeah but I ain't complaining. $60 on ebay and got music and audiobooks enough on my phone to avoid having to buy an ipod or mp3 player (except my MuVo for running, b/c phone's too fragile for that).Plus, I can use it in another phone later.
