FWIW, I always get the insurance. A very quick thief stole a phone of mine a while back & I got a new one in a few days. My friend accidentally dropped his phone in water & got a new phone in a few days. (Unfortunately, he hadn't read your advice to back up his BB before he lost his data in the H2O.)

I have just got a Curve 8330. After owning a Treo for 4 yrs - where has THIS been my whole life?

Question-Understand these may be expandable using a Micro SD card. Since my book is 200 miles away at the moment, I am not sure where the card goes, and I don't want to hurt anything on it!

You'll find it under your battery. There should be a small metal door that you'd open and stick the card into it and then close it.
