Default Work around
The Curve only has a white colored LED so it can't produce other colors like the Pearl. However, here is a detailed description on how to change the trackball color using tape, markers etc. There are other ideas that are thrown out if you read through the rest of the thread. Good luck.

I found another forum which has the same directions. However, this forum has a lot more ideas on materials to use to color your trackball. Someone also applied this trick to his keypad to make that change colors also (see comment #50 on page 5).

i found this on handango, claims to change the color of the trackball for the curve, although i dont see how. It might just be a typo and only work for the pearl but it does say curve edition.... if anyone trys this let me know how it works
