Theme Install Help

Ok, so i just updated my Blackberry Pearl 8100 with OS 4.5 and i followed the steps for the Desktop Manager Installation. However, whenever i try to add the themes i download, it says " Error - No Additional Applications designed for your device were found"

What can i do?

When u downloaded the new OS u need to delete vendor.xml then install the OS to ur BB. If that still doesn't work try over the air that is compatible for ur OS.(This whole site is for over 4.5) then do a battery pull for a few minutes.

I was able to download the theme to my computer and transfer it with usb to my phone under theme and it work. But when after I disconnect and rebot, it doesn't show up on my phone under theme. Am I doing something wrong? In the Desktop manager it does show that it is in my phone under theme

Hi Again,

I'm a little confused, i'm not ur average techie, so yeah...

Should i deltete the OS 4.5 from my Pearl?

And then how do i delete this "vendor.xml", like where would i find it?

I apoligize for the my "ignorance". Your help's appreciated.

Ya'll are prolly hating me byt his point, but please try to bare with me.

I'm desperate to get one of these themes, because i hate the preloaded theme the phone comes with, it's too boring and dry. So if you guys could help out, it'd be great.

And i can't do OTA at the moment because i canceled my data plan for sometime, gotta save some money , especially when you're in college.

SO, is there anything i can do to fix this?

Thanks for good advices, people!!! Earlier it was a problem to set a theme, but now everything works!!!!

I have downloaded the themes for my 8310 just fine but now some of the icons are not responding to the theme

ok i downloaded a Theme (OTA) rebooted my phone. I do to the theme list and my new theme isn't there? So what did i do wrong? i have 8100/pearl
