Theme Install Help

hi, i just got a blackberry 8100 and i wanted to download themes from this website, i tried the desktop manager but it didn't work, so then i tried the OTA and at first it seemed to be working just fine cuz i downloaded the themes and everytime i got a message saying that the installation was succesful, but i can"t find the themes anywhere... was i supposed to reboot the phone everytime i downloaded a theme, because i downloaded a few one after the other and then rebooted the bb. Or where do the themes go? Plz help me with this because i'm not such a technological person so i don"t know what else to do

i have found that the easiest way to send it ota is to right click on the "download ota" icon and select "send link" this will bring up microsoft office will come up and then i would copy the link and email it to my email account that is set up with my blackberry and once i get the email i open it with my blackberry and click the menu button and select get link and it wil then promt the download and then it is installed. i hope this helps out people who are frustrated with trying to figure all this out.

.zip file must be extracted to get the .alx file and .cod file. The .jad file is used to download OTA through your BB browser.

i downloaded the file to my computer and when tried to upload it to my manage it said no applications designed for device. plzz help me.

It could be that you downloaded a theme for a higher OS than what you have. Check your OS by going to options>about.

hey i have a curve 8900. i downloaded the the sterling and veneer zip files and extracted the .alx and .cld files to the desktop manager, then installed them. i rebooted then did a battery pull, but when i go under themes there is nothing there. can anybody help?

i have the blackberry 8350i and when i try to download a theme ota it does not show up in my settings the only place i can find it is when i go to advanced options then applications and i see the theme but i cant do anything with it

Make sure you are downloading themes for your device only. No 83xx series will work on your device, only the 8350i themes will work for you.
