When I try to install the pipboy theme using the desktop manager I add the theme in with the application loader I get a "no additional applications designed for your device were found".

I installed the Assassins creed theme this way and it worked just fine. Anyone got any ideas on what's going on with this?

Maybe your OS is lower than what is required?

Default Theme installation

Hi all.. I am attempting to install a theme on my Pearl, through the desktop manager. I follow the instructions as posted on this site, but when I click on the theme I want to install and press ok, I get an error message, saying "No additional applications designed for your device were found"

I am attempting to install the theme Luminescence 2. I have the blackberry pearl, 8130.

Can anyone help?

thanks in advance

I've gone through all the posts from beginning to end, and have yet to find a solution that will work. I keep getting the same error message. I've tried 2 other themes and still not working. Anyone has any ideas that they can confirm actually works??

Ok.. I've finally figured out that desktop manager that came with my previous phone is version 4.3 and that my current phone is OS 4.5. Now I downloaded desktop software 4.5, but when I attempt to install it, the wizard interrupts itself and doesn't complete the installation.

I'm attempting to install this on windows Vista. Any ideas anyone??

Well.. here we go.. I finally figured it out and writing it on here for people who might run into the same problem.

It is noted quite often on these threads that your BB OS must be 4.5 and up in order to be able to download the themes. Well what failed to be mentioned, is that the Desktop manager must be 4.5 and up, ie match the OS of your BB in order to work.

And this is not all. If you attempt to download Desktop manager 4.5 to Windows Vista, you will find that it crashes (even though 4.3 was compatible) and doesn't appear to be compatible. I've tried it with another computer with Windows XP and all is well. Have a good night everyone!!!
