So I just downloaded the plazmic reader for my bb 8310, According to my phone I have
v 4.2.2.170 (Platform 2.5.0.30)

having the zip file I extract into a new folder and i have 2 files
com_plazmic_theme_reader.alx
and
com_plazmic_theme_reader.cod

I go to the desktop manager, status is connected everything is good until now
my BB Desktop manager is Version 4.2.2.14
i open application loader click next then i click add
and i go to the folder where i have

com_plazmic_theme_reader.alx
and
com_plazmic_theme_reader.cod

I choose
com_plazmic_theme_reader.alx
click open and i get an error message that says
No additional applications designed for your device were found...
what did i do wrong?

I am trying to run the theme reader once so i can later download the themes...
please help and sorry if i put too much , but im trying to put a step by step thing so that you can see where i am
making the mistake.

Thank you very much in advance.

The 8310 doesnt need the theme reader, you can install 4.2 themes for now and 4.5's when you upgrade your OS.

Just in case anyone was following this and had the same problem, after several tries of trying to download the new desktop manager from blackberry.com, i was finally able to download 4.6. Problem solved, all the applications i download now i can succesfully load them into my 8310 curve. And thanks for the heads up on the theme reader trx. I was also succesfully able to load the luminescence one which i think is pretty sweet.

Nobdy was born knowing everything my friend, so don't be sorry. You need help and that's what matters

So, extract it's the option you're looking for. Select a destination folder and you're done!

The fastest way it's to press & hold the right click and drag anyware, release and then a menu will appear with all the extracting options

Best of luck
