Master Reset - Fixes Just About Anything!

Thanks for a clear explanation Mr.B
It is a systematic logic process to solve about 90% of the problems.

However, I have a problem that is irritating me.
I managed to install the Desktop Manager and it works fine when it comes to Backing up data.
However, for more than a month now, everytime I try to do a backup, in the mid of the process while its doing the backup, it fails as it encounter an error. As I cannot backup the data (that is ever increasing) due to more sms and more e-mails, and more phone numbers that I am adding, I can not do the master reset.

Have you encountered such problem before ?

Hi Mr. B,

I just bought a 2nd hand BB javelin. When i bought that, i already check all the aplications and it work normal (and BBM is also work fine).
Back home after registering my BB services, i wiped my javelin because i want to erase all the BBM contact from the first user. The problem is, i added my friends in my BBM but their avatar won't show up in my BBM. Can i use your solution to fix this issue?? is there any solutions? I'm a newbie on blackberry

this is the detail of my BB:
- v4.6.1.250 (Platform 4.2.0.113)
- BBM version: 5.0.0.33

Okay, the problem lies with BBM 5.0. If your contacts have BBM 5.0 then you need to back up your contacts through the BBM and then restore them. There was a glitch in the system for about the last 5 days and it is now fixed.

If they do not have BBM 5.0, then they need to or they won't have an avatar.
