Well now you do aps890! Although you may want to download the official OS software from the official Blackberry website just to safe. There has been a lot of issues and bugs during upgrading.

No, it does not unlock your phone.

Default Upgrading to 4.5

Hi, I found a post thats seems pretty useful for upgrading my BB's OS, but despite being logged in, I cannot follow the links and instead I get a "*Register To See Links*" message (see below).

I would greatly appreciate your help with this issue.

Regards,

"Upgrading Your Operating System

Start out by finding the newest Operating System. Once the "official" versions are released (most stable ones) they can be found [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] Keep in mind that the OS does NOT need to be identical to yours meaning you can install an OS that is designed for T-Mobile on say a At&t phone if you remove the vendor .xml file (will be explained below). Anyhow, once you've got it follow these simple steps

Standard Method

1. Download and install the latest version of [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] (unless you already got it)

2. Just in case anything happens...go ahead and backup everything on your phone at this time. Use Desktop Manager to do so
